Oops, Martin Freeman who plays Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit, accidentally revealed that his Sherlock TV series co-star Benedict Cumberbatch has also been cast in the film. Apparently this casting information was suppose to be a secret, and Freeman seemed very regretful that he let the information slip.
Freeman spilled the beans in the press room after they won Best Drama for there show Sherlock at the 2011 BAFTA Awards. There were no details on what character he will be playing, but it must be pretty big role if it was supposed to be a secret.
Freeman later had this to say,
I knew I was a big mouth, I didn't know how much of a big mouth, and I've ruined everything. And now I might not have a job to go back to!
I'll go ahead and speculate that he could very will be taking on the role of Bard the Bowman who has yet to be officially cast. For more information on this character click here. What do you think? Is there any other character you think he could play?
