Emma Roberts, Chris Messina and Ari Graynor join CELESTE AND JESSE FOREVER
Emma Roberts, Chris Messina and Ari Graynor have joined the cast of Celeste and Jesse Forever. They are set to star alongside Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg in the romantic dramedy, according to Variety. The indie is directed by Lee Toland Krieger (The Vicious Kind) based on a script by Jones and Will McCormack.
The film follows "a young divorcing couple (Jones and Samberg) who try to maintain their long-standing friendship while living together and pursuing other relationships.Roberts will play a starlet who, when her career sags, helps the protagonist come out of her shell by hiring her to revamp her image." Messina stars as a financial analyst who helps Celeste get over Jesse, while Graynor stars as Celeste's best friend from college who's uncomfortable with her unusual arrangement.
I think Roberts was the best part of Scream 4, so I am excited to see her in this film. She will be seen next opposite Freddie Highmore in Fox Searchlight's The Art of Getting By. Messina was last seen in the M. Night Shyamalan-produced Devil and is currently in An Invisible Sign. He will be seen next in Like Crazy and the indie rom-com The Giant Mechanical Man. Graynor starred alongside Hilary Swank in Conviction.
I love Jones and Samberg and am excited think that this film will be a great fit for these actors. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. What are your thoughts on this news?
