There's a $1 Billion STAR TREK Theme Part Resort Being Built

Movie Star Trek by Joey Paur

Fans of Star Trek are finally going to get a theme park resort of their own! Unfortunately for us, it's being built all the way in the hell out in Aqaba, Jordan. So apparently they only want the Star Trek fans with money to go. Why not build it in a place where we will actually go!? The park has a price tag of $1 billion bucks.

This will be a 184-acre Red Sea Astrarium RGH and Paramount Recreation are working closely to create a Star Trek attraction that will "deliver a variety of multi-sensory 23rd-century experiences, culminating with a state-of-the art space-flight adventure that takes real-time immersive entertainment experiences to bold new heights," and it was inspired by the 2009 J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movie. "he themed entertainment destination will also serve as a model for “green energy,” incorporating state-of-the-art renewable technologies throughout the facility, and hosting a “future” pavilion where businesses, students and attendees can learn about alternative energy sources ranging from solar and wind energy to greywater harvesting."

The park wont be completed until the year 2014, so you've got a couple years to save up your cash to take the trip once it opens up. What do you all think? Would you be willing to fork out the kind of cash it would take to check out this Star Trek resort?
