Disney has announced that Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful is set for release on March 8, 2013. The script was written by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. James Franco will star as "a circus wrangler who is transported by a tornado to the mysterious world of Oz. Once there he gets mistaken for a know-it-all, and eventually becomes the Wizard of Oz." Mila Kunis will star as Theodora, Michelle Williams looks as though she will star as Glinda and Rachel Weisz in talks to play Evanora. The film begins production late July in Michigan. The 3D fantasy beings filming this July in Michigan.
I am excited for this film because of the great cast. After seeing Williams in Blue Valentine I am even more of a fan. I love Franco think Weisz and Kunis are great actors. What are your thoughts on this film?
