Supergirl has been Cast in Seth MacFarlane's TED

Laura Vandervoort, who many of you know as Supergirl on CW's Smallville and also had a role in ABC's V, has joined the cast of Seth MacFarlane's highly anticipated R-rated teddy bear comedyTed, which is being developed over at Universal Pictures.

The actress joins Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi and Patrick Warburton. She will take on the role of a charcter named Tayna, "a gorgeous salesgirl and coworker of John (Wahlberg) at the rental car service who is clueless to the gaggle of men who drool over her all day." This is a great gig for Vandervoort, I thought she was great in Smallville, but never got past episode 4 of V. It's not her fault the show sucked. I'm sure she'll make a solid addition to the cast of this film.

Ted follows an average Boston guy play by Wahlberg who's normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear could come to life... which it did. Years later, the boy is an adult and the bear is still his best friend. But the bear, a carousing, irresponsible slacker, is getting in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and the girl he loves. Ribisi will play Donny, a man who's obsessed with Ted.

It was previously reported that the film will also feature “a racist homosexual, a woman obsessed with talking about men shaving their assholes, and a ‘Jewish-looking’ person who makes anti-Semitic remarks.”
