Bruce Willis, 50 Cent and Josh Duhamel to star in indie drama FIRE WITH FIRE

Bruce Willis, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Josh Duhamel are close to a deal to star in an indie drama entitled Fire With Fire. The film is being produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla, Jackson, Matthew Rhodes and Andrew Dean with Richard Jackson serving as executive producer.  David Barrett is directing from a script by Tom Conner. Fire will be sold by Voltage Films at Cannes. Filming is slated to start June 27.

David Barrett is directing from a script by Tom Conner that focuses on "a fireman in the witness protection program. When he's threatened by the man he plans to testify against, he takes matters into his own hands to save the love of his life."

The project is part of a 10-picture deal, which is backed by a $200 million fund, with Lionsgate releasing the films domestically. So far the deal has spawned Setup, which wrapped earlier this year and stars Jackson, Willis and Ryan Phillippe; andFreelancers and gambling drama Lay the Favorite with Rebecca Hall and Willis attached.

I really enjoyed Willis in Red last year. Duhamel has been decent in the Transformers franchise. I am still not sold on 50 Cent as an actor, but time will tell. What are your thoughts on this news?
