George Lucas Reveals Title of Seth Green's STAR WARS Sitcom and that he's moving away from Star Wars

George Lucas recently did an interview with CNN's Connector of the Day. He talks about the news Star Wars ride at Disneyland, Red Tails, and is asked if he will be returning to the directors chair anytime soon. He say's he will be leaving Star Wars behind him (yeah right) and finally moving on to the other films he's been talking about making over the last 25 years (yeah right). I would love to see him go on to make some other non-Star Was films, it's something I've always wanted to see, but I don't think it will ever happen. I'll be shocked if it does.

He then reveals that he's working on developing a couple of Star Wars TV series in which he dropped the title of Seth Green's and Matthew Seinreich's Star Wars animated sitcom... it will be called Star Wars: Detours. Here are some previously released details on the new comedy series, which has been described as Jon Stewart meets Spongebob Squarepants. 

• They're going to make the entire first season of this show and then shop it around to a network, much the same as what Lucasfilm did with the Clone Wars series.
• The show is a "surreal experience" and "a short form comedy," and it's "the funniest thing since Lucille Ball." It's also "Jon Stewart on steroids mixed with David Chapelle."
• George Lucas had compared it to Spongebob Squarepants, and they hinted that it might be like Spongebob, in the way that stoned college students appreciate him.
• The show will be computer-generated animation, but it'll be "unlike any established Star Wars you've ever seen."
• When asked if Yoda will be in the show, both Green and Senreich froze and then made a big deal of not revealing anything. It was then that a voice over my right shoulder said, “Don’t tell these guys anything.  And don’t listen to a word these guys say.”
• It's gonna be CG animation. It's gonna be really funny, and it's gonna be Star Wars in a way you've never seen it.
• There are some recognizable characters. But it's a huge universe, so we're really going where all the comedy is.
• Timeline ...I don't think anybody is really talking about that yet. But it's not post-Jedi.
