PIXAR Sets Release Date for New Original Animated Film for 2013

Movie Pixar by Joey Paur

Pixar Animation Studio announced that they are developing a new and original project for Disney, and that it will be released on November 27th 2013. The film is not a sequel to any of their previously released titles. Disney doesn't reveal anything else on the project. No title, no story details.

I went and did a bit of research seeing if I could find anything on this new Pixar film project, and I've come across a couple different things that I will run by you.

It was previously reported that Pete Doctor (Up) was working on a new project back in 2009 telling New York Magazine,

I’m mostly focused on the next film that I have in development already. That one I just started. We finished Up, I took some time off, spent some time in Europe and Japan doing publicity over there, so I’ve only been on this for like a couple weeks.

He confirmed at the time that the project would probably be ready for the big screen in 2013 or 2014, which is when this film had been set.

Then I also found some different information on John Lasseter and  Bud Luckey's possible involvement on a new Pixar project on Pixar Planet. Luckey is best known for his work as a character designer on Toy StoryBoundin'Toy Story 2A Bug's LifeMonsters, Inc.Finding NemoCarsThe Incredibles, and Ratatouille. According to this information the film could be a western.

Luckey is widely rumored to have an original film concept in development for Disney·Pixar with former Sesame Street collaborator Don Hadley. The film is further rumored to be planned for co-direction by Luckey and Lasseter. The plot has not been released but is believed to have a western theme, similar to Luckey's short Boundin', with a projected release date of 2013.

There is no other confirmed details on this info, but a western from Pixar would be cool. Are there iny ideas or tips that you might have on what this new Pixar project will be?
