THE LONE RANGER to Add Tom Wilkinson to the Cast

Tom Wilkinson is in early talks to join the Gore Verbinski directed adaptation of The Lone Ranger. If he is officially cast he will join the previously cast Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. 

Wilkinson will end up playing "a railroad tycoon in the Old West who plays a prominent role in the Mouse House's bigscreen pair-up of Armie Hammer, as the masked Texas Ranger, and his trusty sidekick, Tonto, to be played by Johnny Depp." Wilinson is a great actor that makes all of the films he's in that much better, he would make a great addition to the cast. 

The script for the movie was written by Pirates of the Caribbean screenwriters Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe. Filming is scheduled to start this fall for a December 21, 2012 release.
