David O. Russell testing Elizabeth Banks, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara and more for SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK

David O. Russell is currently on the hunt for a leading lady for The Sliver Linings Playbook. According to THR, Russell is conducting screen-tests for a number of high-profile actresses today and into the weekend: Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Wilde. Jennifer Lawrence is another name being considered, but it is not known for sure.

Mark Wahlberg is set to star in the film about "a man who suffers from a mental collapse and is released from a health facility determined to find the silver linings in his life."Whoever is cast in the female role will play "a depressed woman who, when her husband dies, goes on a sexual spree, even at the cost of her job. She befriends the man and becomes his love interest."Russell and The Weinstein's have planned an August start date.

I would love to see Mara, Banks or McAdams in the part. I really think that Lawrence is a bit too young for the rolel. What are your thoughts on this news?
