Robin Williams joins cast of GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM

Robin Williams has joined the cast of Gently Down The Stream from Justin Zackman (The Bucket List), according to Showbiz 411. Earlier we reported that Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton and Katherine Heigl were set to star. The film tells the story of "a long-divorced couple who, for the sake of their adopted son's wedding and his biological mother, pretend they are still married. They quickly learn it's not easy, especially when their past, present and future unravel for all to see." The cast also includes Topher Grace, Amanda Seyfried and Susan Sarandon.

Keaton and DeNiro will play the lead roles, and Grace and Seyfried are playing the couple-to-be. Heigl will star as Grace's sister, and Sarandon is someone outside of the two families. It's reported that Williams will play Father Monaghan, and will oversee the ceremony. He also starred as a priest in License to Wed, which was not the best. I loved him in Word's Greatest Dad and am excited to see how this turns out.
