I can now check this off my list of things I never thought I would see. William Shatner and Chris Pine in a arm wrestling match. Both actors have portrayed Captain Kirk. Apparently this is part of a documentary called Captains that is being made for Epix. In the doc Shatner sat down with all previous star ship captains such as Patrick Stewart, Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks, Scott Bakula and of course Chris Pine. So how did this photo come about? Shatner explained to Canoe.ca,
He’s shy. So the way I started the interview, I put out a table and chairs outside the Paramount gates, and arm-wrestled with him. That was the beginning of my interview with him. I think it broke the ice, that’s for sure.
William Shatner’s The Captains is set to air on the EPIX Channel on July 21st 2011.
