Leonardo DiCaprio joining Beyoncé in Clint Eastwood's A STAR IS BORN?

Leonardo DiCaprio singing and dancing on screen opposite Beyoncé? I am having trouble picturing it, but according to Deadline it could become a reality. Apparently director Clint Eastwood has been talking with DiCaprio about starring in his Warner Bros project A Star Is Born.

DiCaprio has just starred in Eastwood's J. Edgar, so this could easily happen since he loves to work with the same director on numerous projects. The musical already has Beyoncé attached to star. Eastwood is producing through Malpaso and will direct the film based on Will Fetters script. The team of Billy Gerber, Basil Iwanyk and Jon Peters who brought us the 1976 film that starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, are serving as producers on this project as well.

Warner Bros. has been developing this project for a nuimber of years, and at one time had Will Smith in their sights to star opposite Beyoncé. It will be interesting to see if DiCaprio agrees to star. He will already be going out of his comfort zone by playign a villain in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, so it is possible he may continue the trend.
