Rami Malek Cast in PT Anderson's New Film

It's been quite a busy week for director Paul Thomas Anderson's next untiled film, which is loosely based on the life of L. Ron Hubbard and the creation of Scientology. We've seen several actors get cast in the film that includes Amy AdamsLaura Dern, Lena Endre (The Girl with the Dragon TattooLena Endre, Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights) and veteran character actor David Warshofsky. Today Rami Malek (24, The Pacific) was revealed as the newest member of the cast. He will also join Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix and Madisen Beaty.

Hoffman will play the lead character in the story, who is the creator of a faith-based group in the 1950's. Said to be loosely based on the life of L. Ron Hubbard and the creation of Scientology, the film will also star Phoenix on the role of Freddie, the right hand man to Hoffman's character who ultimately begins to question the organization. Adams will play the wife of Hoffman's character, and Malek will play a character named Clark,  the husband to Hoffman's character's daughter who still has yet to be cast.

The film is scheduled to start shooting next month, and I can't wait to see what exactly this story will entail.
