John Krasinski to star in Matt Damon's directorial debut filming next year
John Krasinski (The Office) is set to star in Matt Damon's directorial debut. The project is called Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses and it's been set up at Warner Bros. The film is based on a spec script written by Matthew Aldrich (Cleaner). According to The Film Stage, the story focuses on "a man who goes on the lam with his daughter, his accomplice on a three-state crime spree.” Damon plans to stick to that story concept.
The news of the progress comes from Vulture, who recently spoke to Damon while he attended an event. The actor had this to say to the mag, "I've got a few things that I really want to direct, and one I'm actually going to start at the first quarter of next year." Damon went on to say that "John Krasinski's in it."
Not much is known about the project at this time. Damon last starred in The Adjustment Bureau with Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt. I have wanted to see him behind the camera for some time, and this seems like the perfect project for him to start off with. What are your thoughts on this news?
