Dimension Film Takes on French Horror Film LIVID

Dimension Films has acquired a French horror film called Livid. The film is described as a horror fairytale set during Halloween night. It follows three teenagers who burglarize an old lady's desolate house. of course this is no ordinary house.

Two things pop up[ in my head when I read the basic plot of the story. First, the animated film Monster House which I loved, or the old school film The Haunting, both of which were based on homes that were actually alive. The second thing that popped in my head was a time when my friends and I broke into a old boarded up house that we thought was haunted. We year 15 or 16 year old looking for a ghost adventure. Anyway, the house truly was creepy, full of a bunch of stuff from the 1920's. It didn't look like anyone lived there. We got caught by a neighbor and talked our way out of it. We drove back around later that night and saw an old woman through one of the windows. Seeing this woman blew us away, and scared the hell out of us. One because there's no way anyone could live in that house, and two if someone did we actually broke into an old womans home.

I love classic ghost story haunted house films, so this is a film I'll be looking forward to seeing. It's also cool to see another film that will take place on Halloween night.

The film was directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo from SND (Groupe M6), and stars Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Chloe Coulloud and Felix Moati.
