Edward Norton to play villain in THE BOURNE LEGACY?

Edward Norton is close to signing on to play the villain in Universal's The Bourne Legacy. Variety reports that Norton would star opposite Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz in the film being directed by Tony Gilroy based on a script he penned. The story details are being kept secret as you can expect, but we do know that Jason Bourne will not be featured in this film. Renner will play "another assassin who seeks his identity." The film is being produced by Frank Marshall, Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner.

It will be nice to see Norton as a villain. This will be the actors first big budget film since playing the Hulk in Marvel's The Incredible Hulk. Renner is a solid actor, but it makes sense that Unversal is putting some big names opposite him in the film. Norton is filming the Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom

I think that this is an amazing cast. I would have much rather seen Norton as the Hulk again in The Avengers, but I am glad to see him in another big budget film. What are your thoughts?
