... Underworld Awakening. This is the title that Screen Gems has given the next installment of the popular vampire and werewolf franchise. The last we heard the title was Underworld: New Dawn.

The story centers on the vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale), who awakens after being in a 15 year coma. She soon discovers that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her, they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.

The film is being directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, and also stars india Eisley and Michael Ealy. It's set to be released on January 20th 2012.
