It looks like producer/director Guillermo del Toro has lined up another film production for a live action version of Beauty and the Beast, and Harry Potter star Emma Watson is lined up to star. The news comes from producer Crazy Stupid Love producer Denise Di Novi, who is also working on the film.
Other than that news there are no other details on the project, but it's no surprise on what the story will be about. I think Watson would make for a perfect Belle, that's just a great casting decision that makes sense. This is also a great project for Del Toro to be involved with. I doubt he'll end up directing the film, but it's good to know that he will be influencing it.
