Showtime has released the full new trailer for the sixth season of Dexter, and it is amazing! Fans of the show are going to love what they see in this trailer... Dexter is back and brutally ruthless as hell, only now he’s found a higher purpose for his dark passenger. I love what I am seeing in this trailer and Dexter season 6 is sure to be another incredibly badass season! The series is set to premiere on Sunday, October 6th at 9pm.

Michael C. Hall explained in a previous interview that Dexter's Dark Passenger with end up getting some spiritual enlightenment.

Dexter has been very mindful about what he doesn’t want to pass on to his son and he needs to think about what he does want to pass on. That opens him up to a spiritual life. Inevitably it spills into his relationship with God and his own long-ignored and unacknowledged spiritual appetite.
