Yesterday I had the chance to check out Showtime's panel for their new series Homeland. The series is written and produced by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. Homeland stars Damian Lewis as a Marine who returns home after enduring eight years as a prisoner of war in Baghdad. Golden Globe winner Claire Danes also stars as a C.I.A. officer who suspects Lewis's character of plotting an attack against the U.S. Mandy Patinkin plays a veteran CIA Division Chief who mentors Dane’s character. The pilot is loosely based on the Israeli television series Prisoners of War.
