LIMITLESS Director To Take On UNCHARTED: DRAKES FORTUNE!

Variety reports that Neil Burger (LIMITLESS) has taken on the task of writing and directing the film adaptation of UNCHARTED: DRAKES FORTUNE.  Originally the film was going to be directed by David O. Russell, and was to star Mark Wahlberg.  However, Russell dropped the project sighting “creative differences”.  With that happening, it is not 100% that Wahlberg will stay with the project. 

Sony has very high hopes for this film.  They feel that the franchise will take on an “Indiana Jones” type feel.  The video games are quite popular, so I don’t think they will have problems filling the seats. It’s just a matter of keeping them in their seats.  I guess time will tell.  Let us know what you think.
