Sony Pictures developing action thriller FIVE AGAINST THE BULLET?

Sony Pictures is currently in talks to partner with Mimran Schur Pictures on a political action thriller Five Against the Bullet, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura attached as a producer. Variety reports that the script will be penned by Alex Litvak, who wrote the upcoming Three Musketeers film. Di Bonaventura will produce along with Jordan Schur and David Mimran of Mimram Schur Pictures.

The story centers on "a Mexican politician who, after his father is killed by a drug cartel, hires the five best bodyguards from around the world as part of a political campaign to clean up his area."

Di Bonaventura recently produced Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which has grossed more than $450 million worldwide since its release June 29. The film will reportedly film entirely in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. and was set with a previous budget of $30 to $35 million.
