Christian Slater Joins Sylvester Stallone's Untitled Action-Thriller
Christian Slater, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (LOST) and Holt McCallany (Lights Out) have all joined Sylvester Stallone in a new untitled action-thriller being directed by Walter Hill (48 Hours, Warriors, Last Man Standing, Red Heat). The film was previously titled Headshot.
The script for the film was written by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger) The story follows Stallone's character, a New Orleans hitman, as he teams with a young NYPD detective, played by Sung Kang, in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.
According to Variety, Akinnuoye-Agbaje is set to play the main villain in the story, a powerful attorney who's trying to cover up his scam to exploit poor neighborhoods that have been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. Slater will play a local handler who acts as a middleman, while McCallany will play a dirty cop who's partners with Kang.
This has the potential of being a pretty awesome flick.
