Dark Castle buys thriller NON-STOP for Jeff Wadlow to direct

Dark Castle has swooped in to buy the rights to Non-Stop, an airplane thriller spec script writen by John Richardson and Chris Roach.THR reports that Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down) is set to direct and that Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman are producing. The project is being described as "a contained, gritty action thriller centering on an air marshall flying on a domestic flight."

Dark Castle is reportedly interested in moving from supernatural and horror films to straight thriller. It recently had great success with Unknown starring Liam Neeson, which grossed $130 million worldwide on a reported budget of $30 million.

I enjoy films that are set in tight areas such as airplanes, buildings or boxes (Buried). I enjoyed Unknown and like the idea of Dark Castle developing films like this. What are your thoughts?
