FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS Movie Confirmed by Peter Berg

Last month it was reported that a Friday Night Lights movie based on the incredible TV series might actually happen. Today the executive producer of the series Peter Berg confirmed that the film is currently in active development, which is freakin' fantastic news! 

Friday Night Lights recently finished is 5 season run on NBC, and it was one of those shows that I was incredibly sad to see end. It seriously was one of the best TV series to ever be produced, and if you haven't seen it yet it's time for you to watch it. It's great to know that we will see this story continue. Berg said, "We're very serious about trying to do it," and he went on to mentioned that the goal would be to put the film into production next year. 

The new film would feature the cast of the series led by Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. No word on who else from the cast will all join in on the film.
