Official Trailer for THE KILLING FIELDS with Sam Worthington

Anchor Bay has released the official new trailer for the upcoming serial killer thriller The Killing Fields, which stars Sam Worthington, Chloe Moretz, Stephen Graham and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The film looks like it's going to be a very intense and dark thriller.

There was a point when 127 hours director Danny Boyle was attached to direct the film, he said the script was incredibly dark, “almost too dark to get made.” The film is based on a true story about a pair of police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides -- totaling as many as 60 victims -- in the industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries.

I enjoy these kinds of sadistic films so of course I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Here's the synopsis:

This tense and haunting thriller follows a local homicide detective (Sam Worthington) in a small Texas town and his partner, a transplanted cop from New York City (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), as they track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims’ mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call “The Killing Fields”.

The killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When a familiar local girl, Anne (Chloe Grace Moretz), goes missing, the detectives find themselves in a race against time to find the killer and save her life.
