Ryan Reynolds teams with Fox to produce new buddy comedy series

Ryan Reynolds can add TV production to his resume. Variety reports that Reynolds' DarkFire banner has sold a script for a single-camera adult buddy comedy called Guidance. Tyler Labine is set to star and serve as executive producer on the show set in a high school. The studio snapped up the script before DarkFire could sell it to another network.

The show is written by Tim Dowling (Role Models), who will also serve as producer along with Jonathon Komack Martin, Steven Pearl and Allan Loeb, who started DarkFire with Reynolds earlier this year. They have a first-look deal at 20th TV.

Labine has starred in short-lived series Mad Love, Sons of Tucson and Reaper in recent years. I think he is really funny and hope that this show will find it's footing. What are your thougths on this news?
