Laurence Fishburne to play Perry White in MAN OF STEEL

Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. EW reports that he will play Lois Lane and Clark Kent's boss, Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White. Jackie Cooper immortalized the character opposite Christopher Reeve's Superman and Frank Langella played the role in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns.

This is a nice changing pace for the role, Fishburne is a great addition in my opinion. Man of Steel is being produced by Christopher Nolan. It stars Henry Cavill as Clark (a.k.a. Superman), Amy Adams as Lois, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Filming begins this fall, and it's slated for release on June 14, 2013.
