Robot Reverend Marries American Couple
"Transforming the way you and your loved ones tie the knot"
Miguel Hanson needed someone to oversee him and his fiancés nuptials, but didn't know who to choose? Friends? A sibling? Your deacon uncle perhaps? Hanson put the "gtfo" to all those ideas and coded a robot to preside over the entire ceremony.
Hanson and his wife, who are both geeks and even met on a geek dating site (is that what they're calling Second Life nowadays?) are now happily married and have an easy out for an improper ceremony should things go south in the distant future.
With robot clergy on the rise, I think it's time we start putting them to other religious uses...you know what I'm talking about...exorcisms. Possessed child? Hope the little demon spawn can withstand "cross lasers" and the absolving "holy water cannons" of Fr. Ted2.0! Evil won't stand a chance...oh yeah, there's a video of the wedding and the first robot wedding ever done (in Japan...of course) below.
