D23 Expo: Pixar's MONSTERS UNIVERSITY - First Look at 18 year old Sully in Mike

Pixar is currently in development on a prequel to Monsters Inc. called Monsters University, which takes Sully and Mike back into their college days. The movie will give us a backstory on these two characters, how they met, and how their relationship formed. The two characters weren't friends right off the bat, in fact they were rivals. There was some very cool stuff revealed this weekend at the 2011 D23 Expo, and thanks to GT writer Kristal Bailey you can read more about that here. 

There was no footage from the film shown, but the designs look great, and the way that director Dan Scanlon and production designer Ricky Nierva talked about the film, it sounds like it will be just as good and fun as the first film.
