Djimon Hounsou is set to star in Alex Proyas' Paradise Lost for Legendary Pictures. Variety reports that Honsou will play Abel, the angel of death. The cast also includes Bradley Cooper and Benjamin Walker.
Paradise Lost is an adaptation of John Milton's 17th-century English poem. The story deals with "an epic war in heaven between archangels Michael (Walker) and Lucifer (Cooper)." The film is being developed as an action vehicle that will include aerial warfare, and may possibly be shot in 3D. The film is being produced by Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni along with Vincent Newman under his Vincent Newman Entertainment.
Honsou has been a solid supporting actor that is always good in action adventure films. I think this movie sounds cool, but hope it is not going to be another 3D film. What are your thoughts on this news?
