Millennium developing supernatural action film combining CONAN and THE EXPENDABLES

Millennium/Nu Image is developing a supernatural action film that will combine Conan the Barbarian and The Expendables. THR reports that the company bought a spec script from Paul Sloan, and has fast-tracked the project to begin shooting it early next year.

A director is currenlty being sought for the"untitled supernatural action script is described as having been inspired by pulp heroes Doc Savage and Tarzan, and centers on a team of mercenaries whose search for a missing person in the jungles of Cambodia becomes a descent into the heart of darkness as they confront the dark force of a vampire." The project is being produced by Frank De Martini and Richard Salvatore.

Sloan has starred in low-budget action movie, but is aspiring to make it as a writer.  His first script was Stiletto, a 2008 action flick in which he also appeared alongside Castle star Stana Katic and Tom Berenger. I guess Millennium did not learn anything from this weekends abismal box office take from Conan. This story does sound a lot better.
