Alan Dale joins David Fincher's THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO

Despite production ending on David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Alan Dale has been cast. Variety (via The Film Stage) reports that Dale (Lost) has been cast as a “career detective on the verge of retirement.” This is not a large part, so it makes sense that this casting comes at the end of production.

The film was written by Steven Zaillian and stars Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer, Robin Wright, and Stellan Skarsgård. The film arrives in theaters on December 21st.

I am excited to see this film, as a fan of the Swedish version, Be sure to check out all of our coverage on the film HERE. Dale is a great character actor, and is a good addition to the film. What are your thoughts?
