Callan McAuliffe joins THE GREAT GATSBY cast

Baz Luhrman's The Great Gatsby continues to add to it's all-star cast. Variety reports that Callan McAuliffe will play a young Jay Gatsby in the film that stars Leonardo DiCaprio for Warner Bros. The cast also includes Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher. The script was adapted by Luhrman and Craig Pearce from the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic. EW also reports that Australian model, Gemma Ward has also joined the cast in a undisclosed role.

The film will be produced by Luhrman, Catherine Martin, Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, Catherine Knapman and G. Mac Brown via Bazmark Films and Red Hour Entertainment. This is pretty high profile role for the young actor. I am Number Four was not too great, so I am glad to see him get this role.
