Nick Nolte pops in all over the place. One minute he is in U-Turn, the next minute he is in Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore. You never know where he will pop up next. Well, I guess we do. He will be starring with Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez in Parker.
indiewire reported this little bit of news. This is how his casting was revealed:
Over on Twitter, Michael Chiklis and Wendell Pierce—both co-stars of upcoming Jason Statham flick “Parker”—hit their accounts to express their joy on starting production, revealing Nolte’s casting in the process. “I’m shooting PARKER with Jason Statham, Jennifer Lopez, Micheal Chiklis, and Nick Nolte. First day tomorrow!” Pierce tweeted, with Chiklis stating, “...#JasonStatham, #J-Lo, #NickNolte and yours truly…cool flick.
The cast for this movie is really strong. For those of you who haven't heard of this film, here is the synopsis from IMDB:
A crime/thriller centered on a thief who lives by a code of honor that includes never stealing money from people who need it.
This isn't the first time the character Parker has hit the big screen:
Directed by Taylor Hackford, the thriller is based on the character created by Donald E. Westlake—portrayed on screen already by Mel Gibson in “Payback” and Lee Marvin in “Point Blank”—and rather than being based on any single book, this Parker will be lifted and plopped into a fresh adventure in a script by John J. McLaughlin, who co-wrote “Black Swan.” Jennifer Lopezand Clifton Collins Jr. co-star in the film which as you probably know by now, has started filming.
This by no means is an Academy Award winner, but it sounds like a fun flick. Let us know know what you think.
