FRANKENSTEIN TV Series Coming to NBC

NBC is going to develop a new TV series based on the legend of Frankenstein, only it will be a modern day take on the Mary Shelly novel. Frankenstein is bigger than he's ever been, there are currently several movie in the works and now this. I've said it time and time again that the only Frankenstein project I'm interested in seeing get made is Guillermo del Toro's vision. Everything else just seems like it will be there to pass the time.

The script for the new series comes from Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner who are the executive producers on the series House, which is in it's eighth and most likely final season. The series is being set up and Universal Media Studio, which is where the intellectual property to Frankenstein reside.

I've enjoyed watching house over the years, it's been an entertaining show with great writing, so seeing these two writer jump on board a Frankenstein TV series might work out very well.

As of right now there are six different Frankenstein productions in development at studios such as 20th Century Fox, Summit, Universal and Lakeshore Entertainment just to name a few. It will be interesting to see how this new series turns out. What are your thought's on a new Frankenstein TV series?
