Games by Joey Paur

Not only is this an awesome new gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3 awesome, but it also gives us our first look at what the game will look like on the Xbox 360. I believe everything we've seen up this point has has been from the PC version of the game. So this new Operation Guillotine trailer released by DICE is composed solely of footage from the 360 version of the game, and it looks fantastic!

I'm not really a PC gamer, I played this game at E3 2011 on a PC and it was great, but I am more comfortable with a controller in hand. That's just how I roll.

The game is set to be released on October 25th 2011, and I can't wait! Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think! Do you prefer playing PC or console gaming?

Here's a bonus Music Video from Porter Robinson called The State featuring never-before-seen Battlefield 3 multiplayer footage!

In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite U.S. Marines. As the first boots on the ground, players will experience heart-pounding missions across diverse locations including Paris, Tehran and New York. As a U.S. Marine in the field, periods of tension and anticipation are punctuated by moments of complete chaos. As bullets whiz by, as walls crumble, as explosions force players to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before.

EA also revealed that two new characters in the game that will be playable in the campaign missions. Dmitri"Dima" Mayakovsky, a Russian undercover agent, who will be fighting his way through the Paris stock exchange, and Jonathan "Jono" Miller, a Marine Corporalwho will be engaging PLR forces in the Tehran desert via a massive tank battle.

BF3 will be using the Frostbite 2.0 engine. This engine is commonly thought to be the engine behind BF:BC -BF:BC2. However, DICE has made it clear that no games have ever used the technology of Frostbite 2. Frostbite 2 will probably offer the best environmental, audio, and graphical advancements in a multi-console game ever. Better yet, Battlefield 3 will be the one to lead the new engine technology. Expectations of the engine are based off of previous improvements from 1.0 - 1.5, expect better sound, better physics, a more destructible environment, improved textures, and real-time weather changing.
