Stephen Rea to star in Universal's WOLFMAN reboot
Earlier we reported that Universal has a reboot of The Wolfman planned called Werewolf. Now it is being reported that Stephen Rea has joined the cast. The news comes from Steven Bauer while doing press for the Scarface Blu-ray. Bauer played "Manny" in the film and is a producer on the project.
Here is what he had to say to MovieHole:
"What I could say is that Stephen Rea is already casted. The great Irish English actor, Stephen Rea is in the film. And another American who’s maybe… Another American, Ed Quinn is in it too."
Stephen Rea is best known for starring in James McTeigue's adaptation of V for Vendetta. Ed Quinn has had a recurring role on SyFy's now-cancelled Eureka, and True Blood. At this time there are no further details about their roles available. The reboot is to be directed by Louis Morneau.
The script for this film is from the script that was started for the intended sequel. I am glad a sequel was not made because the film was horrible. I like Rea, he is a great actor. What are your thoughts on this casting news?
