Casting Round-Up: Jason Batman - 2 films, Robert Knepper - R.I.P.D., Michael Zegan - The Walking Dead, Scott Adkins - Expendables 2

Prison BreaksRobert Knepper  has joined Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in the movie R.I.P.D. which is currently in production, and being directed by Robert Schwentke

The story centers on a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world.

Knepper will play one of the spirits, known as a “deado” in the movie’s lingo. He also joins Kevin Bacon, James Hong, Marisa Miller, Mary-Louise Parker, and Stephanie Szostak.

Rescue Me's Michael Zegen has been cast in the upcoming second season of The Walking Dead.  He will play the role of a new character named Randall who is a new character to the story, that isn't a part of the comic. The character is described as “a skinny Southern kid who finds himself in a rather unique set of post-apocalypse circumstances.” I'm OK with new character being introduced to the story as a mixes things up and keeps things interesting. The character is recurring, but 'm sure he'll end up being zombie food.

Jason Bateman has joined the cast of two upcoming film projects. Both of them are independent films. The first film is called The Longest Week and is being directed by Peter Glanz, and also stars Olivia Wilde.Inthis film, Bateman would play "a man who lives a life of leisure in his parents' prestigious Manhattan hotel, who finds himself evicted, disinherited and in love,"

The second film Bateman is starring in is called Disconnect, being directed Henry-Alex Rubin (Murerball), Batman will join Alexander Skarsgard, Frank Grillo, Andrea Riseborough, Colin Ford and Michael Nyqvist. The fillm's story will follow the lives affected by the internet and other forms of modern communication. Bateman would play Ford's father in the movie.

Martial-arts Superstar Scott Adkins has been cast in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables 2. He will play Jean-Claude Van Damme’s henchman in the film. Henchman? I'm sorry but this guy looks like he could kick Van Damme's ass. I can't wait to see how this movie turns out, I imagine it's going to end up being way more over-the-top than the first film.
