Paramount Pictures has released the movie poster for Paranormal Activity 3, which is a film I'm actually pretty excited about seeing. I thoughts the first two movies were great, both of them actually scared the hell out of me which isn't really an easy thing to do. These films are effective in what they do. The third film looks like it will end up being just as scary, the trailer alone gave me the goose bumps when I saw it in the theater. I wasn't sure at first if lightening could strike a third time for this franchise, but I'm starting to believe it just might do it.

The third film will take us further back in time to the 1980's and it will tell the origin story of how this demon came into the lives of the character Katie and her family. The film was directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, and is set to be released on October 21st 2011.
