Michelle Rodriguez is returning to Resident Evil: Retribution. Bloody-Disgusting reports that she will reprise her role as "Rain Ocampo" in the fifth film from Paul W.S. Anderson. Rodriguez starred in the first film based on the popular video game franchise.
It's also being reported that Shawn Roberts will return as Albert Wesker, but that will only be a cameo. They join the cast that include Milla Jovovich (Alice), Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine), Colin Salmon and Boris Kodjoe. I hope that Wentworth Miller returns as well, he was a good addition to the last film.
The movie will be shot on location in Toronto, Japan and Russia and is set for release in 3D on September 14, 2012 from Screen Gems.
Rodriguez became a zombie in the first film, but anything is possible in these films. What are your thoughts on this casting news?
