Director Jeff Nichols has cast Michael Shannon in his next film project Mud. The two talents worked together on the incredibly well made film indie film Take Shelter, which Shannon should win Best Actor for at the Oscars next year. He was amazing in that movie. Nichols also cast Sam Shepard (Black Hawk Down), Sarah Paulson (The Spirit), Ray McKinnon (Sons of Anarchy), Joe Don Baker (The Dukes of Hazzard) and Paul Sparks (Edge of Darkness) in the movie. They all join the previously cast Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Tye Sheridan.
Here's a description of the film, "Mud a coming-of-age drama centered on two 14-year-old boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Intrigued by the man, the boys enter into a pace to help him evade capture and reconnect with the love of his life."
There is a very talented team of people involved with this film production, and there's no doubt the film will turn out being great. What are your thoughts?
