Emma Roberts and AnnaSophia Robb to star in ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY

Movie Emma Roberts by

Emma Roberts and AnnaSophia Robb are going to play characters that appear in both a book and on the big screen. THR reports that they have been cast in a music-driven love story titled Anything But Ordinary from Alloy Entertainment and Southpaw Entertainment. The drama is being directed by Sanaa Hamri (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2) from an original story and screenplay by Charlie Craig. The story was also worked on by Liz Garcia and Lisa Barrett.

Richard Lewis of Southpaw, which originated the project, will be producing. Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein will serve as exec producer on the project that is being put together independently. The book already has a home at Hyperion, who bought the project at auction from Alloy. Lara Avary is making her debut as an author with this book.

The story is of "a seventeen-year-old diving phenom who suffers a tragic accident during her final Olympic trials. When she wakes from a coma five years later, as a 21-year old, she is considered a medical miracle. But what no one else knows is that the young woman has become a synesthete, processing words and numbers through color, the third dimension and sound."

I liked Roberts a lot in Scream 4, she was the best part. I have not seen Soul Surfrer, but hear that Robb was good in that film. What are your thoughts on this news?
