Peter Stormare to join Arnold Schwarzenegger's THE LAST STAND as a Villain
According to reports Peter Stormare (Fargo, Armageddon, Prison Break) is currently in negotiations to join Arnold Schwarzenegger's first film since leaving office... The Last Stand. The film is set to be directed by Kim Jee-Woon (The Good The Bad The Weird, I Saw The Devil) for Lionsgate, and Stormare will end up playing the villain in the movie.
The story will follow the exploits of a drug cartel leader who blasts his way out of a courtroom, steals a car, and heads towards the Mexican border. Schwarzenegger will play a sheriff with an inexperienced staff who becomes involved with trying to stop the cartel leader from entering Mexico after the two parties inadvertently cross paths.
Stormare will play Burrell, a seasoned war veteran who carries out the main villain's orders and leads an eight-man crew in taking on Schwarzenegger and his fellow officers.
I have a feeling this movie is going to turn out awesome. The action film is scheduled to be released on January 18, 2013.
