Charlie Sheen to star opposite Jason Schwartzman in indie from Roman Coppola

Charlie Sheen is set to star opposite Jason Schwartzman in an indie film. Variety reports that Sheen will star in his first role since leaving Two and a Half Men in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charlie Swan III. The film is being written and directed by Roman Coppola.

The plot is similar to Sheen's real-life travails, and "follows a successful graphic designer whose fame, money and charm have made him irresistible to women. But when his girlfriend breaks up with him his life heads into a downward spiral."

I am not a fan of Sheen, so this is not great news for me. He has not been in his acting prime since Wall Street and Platoon. Maybe Coppola can get a great performance out of him. What are your thoughts?
