HBO has officially set the premiere date of Game of Thrones season 2 for April 1st 2012! Season two will have 10-episodes, and I can't wait to see the story continue!
The series is based on the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin and was brought to the television screen by David Benioff (Troy, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and D.B. Weiss (Halo).
As for what part of the series Martin is most excited about... it's the Battle of the Blackwater, which we won't see until episode 9,
That’s got a gigantic battle that’s very ambitious and expensive. I’m looking forward to that with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation but we have a great director for that: we signed Neil Marshall to direct that episode.
I'm excited as hell for this!
