Chris Evans To Star in SNOW PIERCER From THE HOST Director

Now that Chris Evans is making some good money as Captain America, he can choose to star in indie pictures like Puncture. Variety reports that the actor is in talks to star in Snow Piercer from The Host director Bong Joon-ho. The script was penned by Joon-ho and Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), who is also producing.

Set in "a world covered in snow and ice, the story follows a train full of travelers who struggle to co-exist." Filming is planned to begin in March, but unfortunately, there is no distribution in place. Snow Piercer marks Joon-ho's first US directing gig. The project is drawing a lot of attention in Hollywood.

Evans is currently filming another indie, The Ice Man, about famous mob hitman Richard Kuklinski. I think it is a great idea for Evans to branch out with films like this. I am looking forward to seeing The Avengers, that is for sure.
