Armie Hammer is about to ride off into the sunset as the Lone Ranger with his trusty sidekick Tonto (Johnny Depp). Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Productions will begin filming The Lone Ranger next month in New Mexico. The Governor of New Mexico made an announcement today and revealed that Gore Verbinski will finish shooting in August, so it will be one hot summer. Production will take place in the cities of Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Shiprock.
The Lone Ranger is scheduled for release on May 31, 2013. It will take a lot for me to see it in theaters. I personally think that the budget is ridiculous. For the $200 + milion price tag two or three solid films could be made, which I would rather see. The trailer had better blow me completely away.
