Kristen Wigg Says NO to BRIDESMAIDS 2

Universal Pictures has expressed a lot of interest in making a sequel to last year's hilarious comedy Bridesmaids, but the film's star and mastermind Kristen Wigg doesn't want anything to do with it. In a recently interview with E!Online she said,

We're not planning on doing one. We had a special time making the first one, but we're really excited to try something else.

As much as I loved the first film, I don't see any need for a sequel, and I'm happy that Wigg realizes that. I imagine Universal will scrap any plans they have for a sequel. There's no point in doing it without Wigg or the rest of the gang.

It was also previously reported that Wigg and Bridesmaids cowriter Annie Mumolo are currently working on writing a new comedy. According to Wigg, "It's going to be a little bit of a different tone, but it's going to be a comedy, for sure."

I think Wigg is hilarious, and I'm up for seeing anything that she's developing. What about you?
